"Ms. (y/n)?"

The woman dressed in black turned to the Stormtrooper. "Yes?" she said.

"Commander Ren would like you to board on this mission with him," the Stormtrooper reported. "He's expecting you right now."

(Y/n) sighed, already knowing what this meant. They had finally had found where he was hiding. And now, she would see him, noting of how soon his face would be full of sympathy towards her, of what her fate had become.

"I'll be there in a second," she said.

The Stormtrooper left and she went to pack her stuff, readying herself for the visit to Jakku.

She hurried over to the docking area, watching numerous TIE Fighters zoom in and out. In the center of the docking bay was a large shuttle ship, her master's personal favorite.

He was standing next to the platform that entered the ship, talking to a general. (Y/n) strolled over to him, trying to show no emotion.

"Master," she said, bowing before him. "What is the mission for today?"

Her master turned over to her. "We have finally located your old time friend," he sneered.

She winced a bit at that, knowing what he meant. Still, she glanced up at him and nodded.

"I'll be sure to put aside any old feelings I used to have, master," she said.

"As I hope you do," Kylo said. He knew already the emotions she would have upon meeting him. Yet, as she promised, she would keep her distance.

He started walking up the platform, heading inside the ship with (y/n) following. She prepared to sit in her usual seat when she saw Captain Phasma sitting in it.

"Oh Ms. (Y/n)," Phasma said. "I've decided to take an arrangement in my normal seating area. You do know you can sit down next to your master, right?"

(Y/n) nodded. “Yeah,” she said, unsurely. “I think I’ll go do that.”

She then sat down next to Ren, feeling a bit nervous. It didn’t bother Ren though as his mind kept focused on meeting the old man. He was so close to obtaining what he wanted. So close. If only nothing got in the way now…

“The map to Skywalker…” Kylo growled. “Where is it?”

As Kylo interrogated Lor San Tekka, (y/n) and Phasma were busy eyeing around the village, making sure no troublemakers would be present or any of the villagers go wild.

(Y/n) could already see by the old man’s eyes that he knew where her fate was now. When the Stormtroopers held onto him as Kylo and (y/n) approached him, San shook his head, gazing sympathetically to her. She could hear his thoughts bubble around apologizing for her to be put in this…wondering what her family thought…

Still, (y/n) put her thoughts aside, patrolling around the village, noting the villager’s looks of worriment and anger.

Some though, seemed to sense her dreaded terror of being there as they glimpsed at her with a similar compassion.

She then froze as she felt something charging up…a man with a blaster, readying his aim for Kylo. There was the slash of a lightsaber igniting up and lashed through San, dropping him down to the floor.

(Y/n) turned around to see San’s body on the ground. She could feel herself wanting to cry, her heart shattering and wanting to comfort but beating faster as she saw her master warning her with a glare.

Her eyes gazed toward the man above a dune, marking for Kylo’s head.

 “Master!” she shrieked.

Kylo whipped around as the blast rammed toward him. He held out his hand, freezing the blast in place. The man also was lifted up, his blaster held up high from him reaching for another blast. Two Stormtroopers marched over to him and punched him in the gut, bringing him over to Ren, shoving him down.

The man glared up at Ren, who lowered himself down to the man’s eye level.

(Y/n) turned away, not daring to intervene again. She was trying to control her thoughts around San but she felt that it was her fault. If only she could have stopped him…but then she would have been gone too. He would want her to continue on, as to hopefully maybe find a way to escape soon, then warn the Resistance…

“Put him on board,” Kylo ordered. The Stormtroopers carried the man over to his ship.

The man turned to (y/n) for a second. She glanced up at him, showing no emotion, or at least, trying not to. Yet, the man could see it. She was a prisoner. All forced by Kylo to do his dirty work.

 Poor thing, Poe thought.

Phasma appeared from behind him. “Sir, the villagers,” she said, titling towards them.

“Kill them,” Kylo commanded. He prepared to walk away.

(Y/n) felt another piece of her heart crumble again. She prepared to dart forward when Ren locked her limbs in her legs.

 “Don’t intervene,” he hissed.

(Y/n) gulped but nodded. “Yes, master,” she said, turning away. She winced at the sounds of the villagers crying, hearing the roar of the blasters charging up and shooting at them.

She boarded onto the ship, reeling in any tears ready to flow. She sensed the prisoner’s gaze turn to her and looked up at him.

Poe shook his head. What got you into trouble? he wondered.

When they got back to the Finalizer, Poe was sentenced to the torture chamber.

(Y/n) got off board as well, heading straight over to her room. She already had questions upon what her master would do to the prisoner and there were also questions surrounding if perhaps maybe…just maybe…

 “Ms. (y/n)?” a general asked.

 She turned around. “Yes?”

“Your master requires your presence. Not now though. He says to give you some time to yourself and when you’re ready, report to the map room.”

(Y/n) sighed, knowing what this meant. “Yes,” she said. “Tell him I’ll be there.”

She walked over to her room, crying for a few minutes and wiped her tears out. He knew she would need to break down over what happened. But crying in front of the villagers would be unacceptable. They would see that she was his slave, wanting to rebel against him and run away. It would be dangerous to hear their words of encouragement to fight back. If only though, they could see that she had no choice. She was already tied to the fate that was made for her. Not to mention, he wanted them to know the power he had upon his protection. A group full of Stormtroopers, the captain and his apprentice. The perfect bodyguards.

(Y/n) then walked over to the map room, seeing him studying a map.

“Master,” she said, bowing again. “You called?”

Kylo titled his head toward her. “You know why I had to do what I did,” he said. “Don’t act so surprised over it.”

(Y/n) bit her lip, nodding. “I understand,” she said. “It’s just…he was an old friend…. but I knew the price he would pay…but I couldn’t help it…and those villagers…”

“It’s all for a price, dear,” he hissed. “Maybe if he had been more generous, I would have let him live…and them as well. But…as he refused…he paid the price…as they did for hiding him…”

(Y/n) stood silent for a bit before asking.

Kylo held his hand up quick. “No,” he said, answering her question.

(Y/n) frowned. “But,” she protested. “I mean, my family…you already have what you want…it’s only fair that…”

“Your family still owes me a debt,” he snarled. “And as they paid the price for it….so will they still.”

 “That’s not fair!”

“Is it not fair that they haven’t told you what your powers were?”

 “Well, no but…”

He grasped his hands together, making her stop, her neck clutched in by the Force. “Listen closely,” he fumed. “As I have said before, no. Your family is paying their debt to me…and it’s only fair so that you learn what is needed. Not to mention…regarding your feelings…”

She felt her heart thump hearing him say that. She shivered. “Yes, master,” she said. “I understand.”

“Good,” Kylo said. He glanced back at the map.

(Y/n) prepared to turn around, walking back to the corridors.

 “Oh, and (y/n)?”

 “Yes?”

“Do not consult with the prisoner, got it?”

“What business would I have with him?”

“He knows that friend of yours…”

She bit her lip hard. “Understood, master.”

Poe’s head whirled around as he caught a glimpse of the room he was in. He tried to get up but found himself latched to some sort of table/chair. In front of him, was never other than Kylo Ren, one of the commanders of the First Order. He sneered as he glared at him.

“So, you going to try to intimidate me or something?” he snickered.

“Maybe if you were to tell me where he is, I won’t do it,” Kylo said.

Poe rolled his eyes. “Like that’s even going to be possible.”

Kylo lifted up his hand and crunched Poe’s nerves together. Poe winced as he tried to hold his thoughts together, feeling Kylo breaking them apart.

He closed his eyes to concentrate from thinking about BB-8, hoping that the little droid was already far away from the village.

Kylo squeezed his hand, crushing the nerves to bend. Poe lifted his head back but it was slammed forward, as Kylo’s grip tighten. He could feel himself being pulled apart inch by inch…his thoughts going wild, his mind prepared to go insane.

He focused onto the girl instead, the girl that was with Kylo, watching the villagers die…she looked so sad.

“She’s none of your concern,” Kylo stammered.

“She doesn’t look happy to be here,” Poe growled. “And she didn’t even look too pretty happy when you killed San.”

“What happened to him was his doing,” Kylo said. “Just like what her family paid for.”

 Poe frowned. “Family?”

“Well, I suppose I should tell you about her in case she does come here, offering you her sympathy,” Kylo hissed.  “She’s my apprentice. A little payment in the debt her family owes.”

“Why? Because you happened to find her one day and snatch her off?” Poe sneered.

“Have you ever heard of the noble family of the (l/n)?” Kylo asked.

Poe’s eyes widen. “You mean, the ancient family that once participated in the Galatic Republic…until they were hunted down for their views after the grandfather senator was assassinated?”

“Yes,” Kylo said. “And they continued to hide until the Galatic Civil War, where they rose up once again to fight in the Rebellion…until of course, word got out that they were of nobility, did they hide again in fear of assassinations from the past and ransoms. Apparently, they had helped also San in escaping to Jakku, an old friend of theirs.”

“Then what? Give me the location or else I’ll kill one of you?”

“Her father insisted he did not know who I was talking about,” Kylo continued. “It took a couple of hits before he confessed the location. Then, I sensed the children in the homes. And that’s when I saw her…and I knew then, poor thing was untrained, taught to learn to hate her powers.”

“To keep monsters like you from learning about her.”

“She should be graceful that I spared her and her family. In return of their lives, she would become my apprentice in due to their debt to me…for hiding San and escaping him to Jakku.”

Poe shook his head. “Some deal. You sure you didn’t like Force trick into doing it or else?”

“I could have,” Kylo said. “But she knows that there is no way out for her. Not as long as she’s on the ship, by my side, will she never escape. And besides…”

He lifted up his hand, bringing Poe forward, scrunching his nerves again. “I’ve marked her.”

Poe’s face morphed into fury, feeling his concentration warp again from the Force. He glowered at Kylo, darting hateful eyes at him. How could he do such a thing to a poor kid like her?

His head slammed back to the chair’s head.

“Not that mark, you idiot,” Kylo growled. “I supposed I could have also done that…but I’ve decided to let’s say…I showed her the beauty behind the mask.”

This made Poe laugh. “Beauty?” he jibed. “I’m sure she would find you beautiful after what you made her do.”

“As soon as she gained my trust, I let her know who was behind the mask,” Kylo said. “And from there…I felt it in her what she would feel for me. Seeing that possibly…I could change. That maybe she could change me…pff, it’s cute really but in the end, it’s all but a play. Soon, she’ll learn she’ll have no choice but to prove her loyalty again…her true loyalty…and from there, I’ll completely have her as my own.”

“Sick bas…” Poe began. His head pulled forward, his nerves racing all around.

“But she is not of your concern,” Kylo hissed. “Where is the map?”

Sweat dribbled around Poe as he focused not to think about BB. His mind bounced all around, the Force diving into it, pulling out anything that could be useful.

 “Where is it?” Kylo demanded.

Poe quivered as he felt every ounce of him rip out. He screamed in horror and then BB was in his mind.

Kylo stopped as he saw the image of the chip being placed in a BB unit droid. He then walked out of the torture chamber, seeing that his work was done.

Poe woke up again to hear voices coming from outside.

The doors to the torture chamber opened and a woman in black clothing stood before him, her arms crossed.

“Are you the apprentice?” he asked.

The woman nodded. “Precisely,” she said. “I was, of course, forbidden to come here but with a trick, they allowed me inside.”

She paused for a bit before speaking again. “San,” she said. “Was he…planning to stay there?”

“After the possibility of the First Order finding him there, no,” Poe said. “I don’t think so.”

Silence clouded the room before the apprentice spoke once more. She was interrupted by Poe though.

 "What's your name?" he asked.

"(Y/n)," she said. (Y/n). It fitted her.

"Poe," he said. "Sorry, but I guess since you're going to be talking to me...we might as well get to know one another a little bit right?"

(Y/n) nodded, cracking a little smile. “I’m sorry for what my master does,” she said. “I shouldn’t be but…a part of me tells me that I have to break away…but I can’t.”

“Why? Because he’s some sort of hottie underneath all that scary costume?” Poe gibed.

The woman blushed but then shook her head. “It’s just…did he talk about me?”

“A little,” Poe lied, wanting to know her story. “He talked about your family. Something to do with a debt?”

The woman nodded. “Yes. It’s the reason why I’m here. Yet, he’s right. I have to stay. If I don’t, then he’ll know how to get me, even if I don’t come back to them.”

“Why? Because they need to pay for not teaching you about your power?”

The woman titled her head at him. “If only you could understand what I’ve been through…what I must do for him.”

Poe raised his eyebrow. “I would like to,” he said. “I mean, I just don’t understand how someone like you could work for him…he’s pretty much did everything to make you hate him.”

The woman sighed. “If only you knew,” she said. She then lifted up her hand and waved it around.

Poe caught a glimpse of her being a young child, hugging her parents before heading off around to play with her siblings.

She had lived with them her whole life, aware of the reason why they were hiding. She knew to keep her mouth shut when regarding about her last name, no matter who asked. So many people had come to dislike the (l/n) ever since her greatest grandfather had spoken out against what he believed the republic to be…ending his life.

Her family would come across the biggest challenge yet…being Force sensitive. She was playing around with her siblings’ toys, putting on a show of floating them up in the air when her mother screamed. She was forbidden not to use them again. That powers like those were dangerous. If word had gotten out, she’d be killed.

Yet, (y/n) had somewhat disobeyed her parents, wanting to learn more about her new ability. From time to time, in the middle of the night, she’d concentrated on using her powers, wondering what they were. It wasn’t until she talked to her friends about what if someone had powers similar to hers, did she learn then that she was Force sensitive.

She questioned her parents about it, getting into arguments over never to use them, to fear that they were dangerous. She felt so torn apart to hear that, angry that her parents had disowned them when they could have used it to help people…to show them that they mean no harm.

Then, he came on their planet, in search of them.

She was with her siblings playing around when her mother marched in the house. “Stay inside and hide,” her mother barked.

Worriment drove into her and the siblings, frightened what was going on. They headed upstairs to their rooms, peeking out the window to see what was going on.

A man in black with two Stormtroopers were talking to her parents, questioning about San.

Her father shook her head, shrugging, having no idea what he was talking about. The mother stood behind close.

When the father refused, the man in black ordered the two Stormtroopers to punch the father. The father dropped to his knees, gasping out breath. He suffered more punches after he refused to give in. The mother pleaded with them to stop, telling the husband just to tell him, to make them leave them alone. Still, the father held his words in.

She and the siblings’ eyes widen and gapped at their father suffering more brutal attacks.

The father was then pulled toward the man in black, holding out his hand. He then let go of his fingers and the father fell to the floor. One of the Stormtroopers held his blaster to the father’s head. The mother hollered out in tears, begging them to stop.

The man in black lowered himself to the father, asking about the location again.

The father closed his eyes and answered the man. Jakku, he said. He’s on Jakku.

She and the siblings let go a sigh of relief, content to know that their father would be ok.

The man in black though, sensed her presence. Someone like him was in the house…

 Search the house, he commanded.

 The Stormtroopers marched in.

The father tried to hold down one of their legs but the Stormtrooper kicked him in the face. The mother blocked the door and like the father, she was thrown aside.

She freaked out, the siblings clutching onto her, fearing that they would be taken away. She ordered them to hide, anywhere.

They hid in various place, her hiding spot in the closet, behind some clothes. It was a weak choice but she was in full blown panic.

They held their breaths in as the Stormtroopers entered the room. They looked around, glancing at any obvious hiding spots. Her siblings shrieked as they were found, being pulled by the Stormtroopers down the stairs.

Then, the man in black came to the room. He gazed around, feeling that there was one more person to be found.

She whimpered a bit, trembling under the clothes. She froze as the closet door creaked open, his mask glaring around it. Her heart thumped loudly, her body coating in sweat. She could feel the pull of his hand to reach in underneath the pile of clothing, fearing that he would find her…

The closet door then shut, the man’s footsteps walking away.

She sighed in relief, hoping that the man was back outside with her family. She rumbled under from the clothes and carefully opened the closet.

She peeked outside the window, seeing her father and mother staring at the siblings being held by the Stormtroopers.

She frowned, wondering where he was.

Then, there was the hiss of a lightsaber dueling out and she was thrown back to the man’s chest.

“Make a wrong move,” the man warned. “And you’ll know your fate.”

She nodded, understanding what he meant. He led her out of the room and back outside.

He told them, it was shameful for them to hide her, to make her fear her powers. The parents stood quiet, unsure what to say but frightful of what he would do.

He then said he would take her away…for paying the price. In exchange for their lives.

She broke off from him and hugged her parents, wanting to say her last goodbye. The parents and siblings tried to pull her back, away from the monster that was going to take her away. The Stormtroopers separated them and she was off, heading up into his ship.

Her life as an apprentice began.

She grown to love her powers, growing a bit angrier with her parents on wanting to know why they would make her hide it. She learned a lot, learning to use the Force and duel with a lightsaber.

Her master shared her sympathy, criticizing her parents and telling her that they had perhaps grown to fear her, hoping to control her before she would turn on them.

She agreed, finding it silly for them to think a thing like that. If only they had known how powerful she would become. Then, they wouldn’t have to be afraid of hiding no more.

Deep down though, she felt that it was wrong. All the hate and anger he was teaching her…it didn’t feel good. And then San…. she had dreamed he would be in pain. She struggled to outweigh the pros and cons, unsure what was right or wrong.

He could feel her struggle, questioning everything. She had also grown curious of her master, wanting to know what he was like behind that mask. Then, he revealed his face to her.

Suddenly, she felt attracted toward him, feeling that maybe he could change…maybe he could change his mind. And he was so…beautiful. A gorgeous creature. She yearned to be with him, to know more…but her other side pulled her away, warning her to find a way out.

She was pushed and pulled, not knowing where to go. Some days, she fully supported him and others, she’d feared him and was afraid to reveal the good side of her.

It was during these days he warned her about betraying. And the fact that her family owed a debt. If she continued on to be his apprentice, then they would be fine, unharmed from them.

Maybe, that’s what she should do. Protect them from him. As long as she was with him, he wouldn’t harm them…

Poe glanced up at the woman. She had tears in her eyes, hugging herself. She felt so confused, so lost…she didn’t know what to do.

“You don’t have to be with him, you know?” Poe said. “He’s just controlling you in the end. Who’s to say he won’t kill them even if you pledge to be with him?”

“I don’t know,” (y/n) said. “All I know is that if I disobey he’ll kill them…I can’t afford that to happen. And the fact that they made me deny my powers…my powers that could help people! And they made me selfish to hide them away.”

“Because they cared for your safety,” Poe said. “They wanted you to lead a normal life. And if monsters like him were to find out where you were and take you away.”

“I guess I could try to change him too,” (y/n) said. “But…he’s so dark…what if I can’t? What if being dark is the only way I could save them?”

“What if maybe I could save them?” Poe suggested.

The apprentice frowned at him. “What do you mean?”

“Well, if you were to free me,” Poe said. “Take me to my droid on Jakku…I promise I’ll have the Resistance protect your family.”

 She shook her head. “No.”

 “No?”

She sighed. “No…I can’t. Who’s to say that they won’t be there first thing after I run away? I can’t…I’m sorry. Why am I even here? I shouldn’t even be talking to you…I’m sorry, but I won’t.”

 “(Y/n)…” She turned around.

“I can help you,” Poe promised. “Look at yourself. You’re unhappy. You’re confused. He’s making you believe that if you stay your family will be safe…and the fact that you kind of like him…makes it more difficult. He’s not who you think he is. Come with me. You’ll be better with us than him.”

(Y/n) raised her eyebrows. “How can I sure to trust you?” she asked.

Poe sighed. “Look, ok, I can’t promise if your family will be safe,” he said. “But we’ll do everything we can to make sure they will be. And you won’t be miserable anymore…let me go. I can take you to a better life.”

(Y/n) held out her hand and touched his arm. His aura did feel warm, light shining inside her, lifting up her spirits. And he was sort of good-looking…unlike her master, who was also attractive, but when she touched him, it was cold, dark and raging. She preferred this aura more than his.

“What are you doing?” Poe asked.

“Your aura,” she said. “Or what your energy is. Aside my typical Force powers and ability to transfer my memories to others upon what I feel, I can feel other people’s moods or light you can say….and you feel very warm…instead of this dank place I’m in.”

Poe nodded and held his finger against her arm. “Please (y/n),” he said. “Let me go.”

The apprentice thought for a bit. Maybe then she wouldn’t have to be so alone no more….so frightened and sad…she could be free…

 But her family…her master…her powers…

“No,” she said, pulling away from him. She shook her head, determined.

 “(Y/n),” Poe pleaded.

“No!” she snapped. “I won’t. My master…he’s taught me so much…I owe him for not killing my family…and now I won’t betray him!”

With that, she stormed out of the chamber.

Kylo was busy analyzing a unit of droids to get a look of what the BB unit droid would look like when his apprentice walked in. He turned his head, already knowing what she was going to say.

“And you still went to see him,” he said.

(Y/n) sighed. “He was sympathizing with me more than telling me about the droid.”

“Typical,” Kylo said. “I told you they just sympathize with you. Did he oh so promised that they could protect your family?"

She nodded, sitting down on a chair, attempting to cover her thoughts on the conversation she had with him. He heard it all though.

"I doubt he could save your family," he said. "The Resistance have affairs of their own to deal with. Besides, if you did free him, I won't be afraid to send in my men down to find and kill them."

The apprentice nodded, wishing that he stop reading her thoughts.

He then journeyed over to a chair opposite of hers and sat down, facing her. "And...you like him?"

She lowered her head down, ashamed.

Kylo shook his head. "What about us?" he asked, holding out hand to touch her arm.

(Y/n) winced, feeling the aura of darkness and cold shiver around her body. It felt so freezing, so lonely...unlike Poe's warmth, compassionate and friendship. Yet, was it possible still that she could change him...that he could be like Poe?

She glanced up at him. His mask creaked as he laid his hands on it, lifting the mask off, revealing his face to her. It was the same face she'd grown to love...the man she yearned to know more about...she couldn't deny her attraction to him...he was a beautiful creature she'd hoped to tame...

"I'm sorry, master," she said, lowering her head. "Forgive me. The light tends to try to warm me up..."

His fingers laid rest onto her chin, gazing up at her master's eyes, hypnotizing her.

“Do I need to remind you this is what fate has decided for you,” he warned. “You cannot deny destiny’s grasp.”

Oh. That too. She felt it also that this was what destiny wanted for her…maybe then this was the only way he could change...to give in and officially become part of the First Order. Then, maybe fully, would also her parents be completely safe.

“What should I do?” she asked.

Before Kylo could answer, someone came in rushing to the room.

“Commander?” the general asked. “Hux would like to speak with you.”

“I’ll be there,” Kylo said. He got up from his chair and began to leave, putting on his mask.

“Remember what I have told you,” he said. “If you cannot control what you will decide…then I’ll decide for you.”

The apprentice nodded. “Yes, master,” she said.

He then left her alone in the room.

As she began walking back to her room, a warning alarm sounded off. “Prisoner has escaped! I repeat, the prisoner has escaped!”

(Y/n) frowned. Poe, she thought. She began to run down the corridors, searching around for him.

She could already hear her master storming down the hallway, looking for him and her. No doubt to prevent her from making a wrong choice. She wanted to prove her worth though. She would not be tempted to join the light. She would bring back the prisoner to him, showing her full loyalty to him.

She marched down a couple corridors before hearing a familiar voice ring out.

“Wait!” Poe roared. “I have to find her!”

“Who?” another voice said. It sounded like a Stormtrooper. “We don’t have time! We have to get a move on! They sounded out the alarm!”

Footsteps echoed in the corridors and Poe was standing before her. He had his wrists still cuffed, but his eyes were focused on her, yearning, desperate that she’d leave this wasteland and dive into a world better than this.

“(Y/n),” he said. “Come with me. Come on!”

(Y/n) froze. “Poe, turn yourself in now!” she ordered. “Before anything gets out of hand.”

“(Y/n),” Poe pleaded. “Do you want to live a life where you’re forever scared of what he might do? Of knowing that he has you in his hold, never gaining your freedom?”

She bit her lip, unsure what to decide. Poe’s aura was so warm, so comforting…Kylo’s terrifying, shivering…but she had grown so use to it…would it be fair to leave him alone…what if she was the only light for him to possibly turn one day?

Before she could say anything though, she’d heard her master growl.

“(Y/n)!” he snapped. His voice rang through the corridors. “(Y/n)!” He could sense it. She was probably going to escape with him, leave him alone and betray, after all that he taught her.

She turned back to Poe, seeing his face pleading. The Stormtrooper behind him pulled onto his arm.

“We gotta go!” the Stormtrooper begged. Yet, Poe wouldn’t move a bulge. He wanted to see where she stood…where she would be…

 “(Y/n)!”

Her mind warped into confusion, unsure what to do. She looked behind her and then to Poe. She had to decide now…

 Go with Poe

She glanced up at Poe. “Follow me,” she ordered, walking down the corridors, heading towards the docking area. She motioned them to wait, seeing that a shuttle ship wasn’t in use. She titled her head, allowing them to follow and board onto the ship.

Many of the Stormtroopers noticed and began firing. (Y/n) wielded out her lightsaber and dodged their blasts. The generals and the troopers stared in confusion, wondering why the apprentice was helping them. They feared though, perhaps she was being used against her will.

“(Y/n)!” His voice boomed out one last time, warning her not to depart. She could picture him almost to the docking bay, ready to pull the ship back, blocking their escape.

A small tear slipped down her cheek. “Punch it!” she commanded.

Poe ignited the ship on and the shuttle veered off into space, away from the Star Destroyer.

Back on D’Qar, (y/n) had gotten up from her sleep, having another nightmare about her master. She could feel all the rage he held inside, running away from him. It always ended with her trying to fight back, only to be knocked down and see him slash his lightsaber into one of his siblings. She would cry, apologizing to them that she should have stayed…how could she do this when he taught her all about her powers? What kind of betrayal was that to her master?

 “Are you ok?”

She turned around to see Poe standing beside her. She shrugged.

“Another nightmare,” she said. “Poe...Leia did send out a team to check on them, correct?”

“Yeah, she did,” Poe said. “It’s ok. I’m sure they’ll be fine. We just…we just have to hope that they’ll be safe under our protection now. Don’t worry. I’m sure they’ll come back.”

(Y/n) sighed, wanting to feel Poe’s confidence but it was washed away with uncertain fear. She felt his hand on her shoulder, feeling Poe’s aura warm her up.

She smiled, feeling blissful that the warmth created happiness, making her face glow.

Poe glanced at it, smiling too. He laid a hand through her hair, watching her rub it against him. She then finally hugged him, wrapping her arms around him. Poe did the same.

She settled her head against his chest, a light kiss puckered on her head.

"I betrayed him though," she said. "After all that he taught me...do you think I could be forgiven?"

Poe shrugged. "I don't blame you though," he said. "What he did to you was unacceptable...I'll be sure to see that he'll pay for what he did to you."

(Y/n) smiled weakly but knew that he only did it because he saw what she went through. She felt sorry still for leaving Kylo behind, but ever since she left him, a bloom rose inside her, feeling that spending all her time with Poe was very comforting.

She had never felt so much happier than she did before.

 Go with Kylo

She glanced behind her. She then glimpsed back up at Poe, shaking her head. “I’m sorry,” she said, wielding out her lightsaber. “I have a promise to keep. I will not abandon him. He can change. Maybe not today but one day he will…and if he can’t…then this is what fate has decided for me!”

Poe shook his head. “No, (y/n)!” he said. “You can’t…you can’t be with him. You said you felt so lonely…so dark…you deserve better than that.”

“I’ve grown use to it,” (y/n) said. “In fact…the cold is my warmth now. The dark is my light. I’m the apprentice and he is the master. I cannot leave. It is what fate has for both of us. It is what destiny intended.”

“That’s ridiculous!” Poe snapped. “No! You can’t…”

He paused as he felt a Force wave pull him toward her. The Stormtrooper grabbed onto him, pulling him back.

“You are what is keeping me away from him!” she growled. “This time, I will not permit you to taint my mind. I will bring you to him as my loyalty would be proven!”

 “(Y/n)!”

She whirled her head around, hearing him get closer. The concentration on her master lost her focus onto Poe. The Stormtrooper pulled him back again and he was darting off with him. Poe kept looking at her though, his sympathetic gaze glancing at her.

She didn’t have to be like this…she didn’t have to be with him…

The apprentice turned around to see Poe gone. Her eyes widen in horror and prepared to dash off to find him.

“(Y/n)!” She turned around to see her master behind her.

“Master! I had him!” she said. “I almost got him but…”

“They won't escape that easily," Kylo said. "The docking bay is bombarded with troopers. I doubt they'll get a ship. Even if they do, they won't find the droid yet. We've already send in two TIE Fighters in for the search of the droid. I'll have two more go after him if they dare leave."

 (Y/n) frowned. "But master..."

Kylo waved a hand up. "We have other matters to discuss," he said. "Besides, he doesn't even know how to fly a TIE Fighter...and neither does the Stormtrooper..."

(Y/n) grinned. "And knowing the price you've put on the droid's head...who knows how it won't be long before the droid is brought to us."

 Kylo nodded. "Exactly."

She stared out into space, seeing that the Starkiller Base was ready to fire. She heard footsteps from behind her, sensing her master joining her.

"I suspect it's all ready, is it?" she asked.

Kylo nodded. "Soon, it will blast off and they'll know the power we'll have," he said.

She smiled. "Yes, indeed," she said. She then glanced back at the window before looking back up at her master. "Master, you do know that I wish to be with you now right? I mean, after all that I've saw...my parents telling me to be quiet about my powers...the fact that I understand this is what destiny wants me to do...am I forgiven?"

He turned to her. "Do you promise to stand by my side?" he asked. If anything, now was the time to seal her fate with him. Once asked, he would have full control over her.

 "I do," she said.

His eyes glared at the beaming ray of the base ready to fire. He held out his hand. "Do you promise to stand alongside me...to complete your training...as my right hand woman...and lover?"

"I do," she said, gripping onto his hand.

The beam glowed brighter. He stared back into space. His fingers grasped tightly onto her hand as the rays burst out. "You are forgiven then."

I honestly think that this is one of your best stories so far. It’s well-written, I assure you, regarding the sequence of events, the characterizations, and the two distinct endings. Though I definitely understand if you think there is room for improvement— nothing wrong with that attitude.

Man, Poe is so trusting... and that’s what stings about choosing Kylo Ren in the end scene. But I like Poe because he has that "no one left behind" attitude. Even if/when they crossed paths again, Poe would still try and convince the Reader to the Light side.

And you did a great job keeping Kylo Ren in character. He’s intimidating, volatile, yet he’s the only person who can teach the Reader about the Force. The Reader is consumed with fear and uncertainty, while Kylo is consumed by the latter and anger. Meanwhile, they’re both suffering in different ways as they express these facets of the Dark Side.

Regarding the endings, they were well done.

With Kylo’s ending, the Reader is risking falling further into the Dark Side with Kylo, becoming more conflicted (and perhaps volatile), like he is. Their last lines of dialogue almost read like a morbid parody of a wedding.

The scenes that begin with the destruction of the Hosnian System and ends with Starkiller blowing up, they all take place over the course of a "day" (even in outer space). I wonder how the Reader will feel after seeing Kylo’s injuries after his fight with Rey and Finn.

With Poe’s ending, the Reader and her family are in far more danger from Kylo Ren and the First Order, despite the Resistance’s protection. And when Kylo Ren finds her again, he won’t hesitate to kill her (and Poe). But there’s a note of optimism to it— the Reader is somewhat happy, Poe is there for her trying to be understanding, and maybe she'll see her family alive again.

Out of all your stories, I’d love to see this one get a continuation from either branch. I mean, that’s up to you, of course. The potential for this is great. :D
