A little one shot made for everyone's favorite cyborg ninja. Ok, so I just tried out Metal Gear Rising and I have to say it is AMAZING! Basically, to me it's Bayonetta meets swords and technology...yeah, I know in a way it's not Bayonetta, duh, it's Metal Gear, but I'm just saying because I played Bayonetta and there seems to be a similar concept of the gameplay...then again, it is Platinum Games.

Anyhoo, I think Metal Gear needs some love in reader inserts. Now some of you are probably going to say, but they're not hot enough or they're taken...ok, yes, I know. It's definitely hard for me as well to break canon and I don't like to either but there's nothing wrong with just being a friendly flirt or perhaps having other situations as well, like being their sister or something. And while some may not be hot, come on, some are still cool and just awesome.

Aside that, let's give some love to Raiden and hopefully, love to other Metal Gear favorites as well!

I'm starting this off as a one-shot but if any of you would like to see this a series, please inform me in the comments!

 Metal Gear (c) Konami
 You (c) yourself

I was going to use another picture instead but this one seems better. Picture is also not owned by me! Also, if any characters are OOC or any of the like, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I DON'T LIKE MAKING CHARACTERS OOC ESPECIALLY IF IT REALLY SEEMS OUT OF CHARACTER FOR THEM IN THE SITUATION THEY'RE IN! If I also get any other stuff wrong aside characters, like maybe situations or plots, again, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! Anyway, sorry for all the long explanation, enjoy!

Your eyes scanned the cyborg slicing away at your comrades. You couldn't believe how powerful this guy was. Either it was you or indeed, this was what was unfolding before your eyes: Lighting Bolt, the one who ran fast, unbelieavably fast, like...well, lighting. A strike in the night of a storm.

You felt your limbs shiver a bit, not sure what to do. You were ordered to keep an eye out for trouble and avoid conflict, but the way he was tearing apart the other cyborgs made you question if helping them would even solve the problem. Heck, they really weren't your "friends" anyway.

It was nothing but a paycheck to them. For you, it was life. Literally, your life. Where else would you go? You had nowhere else to go anyway. You didn't know anyone else besides Desperado. They were the only "family" you had. Yet, you questioned their ways of structure but if you ever dared raise that question to them...it wouldn't be pretty.

 How did it all start?

You were a kid, growing up in the streets, born an orphan. You had somewhat of a hard life, struggling to survive. You stole food just to eat and sometimes took jobs like being the newspaper girl just to make some money. None of these strategies worked though and soon a new adventure would begin for you.

You were walking alone one day on your day to your usual sleeping place when someone knocked you out and kidnapped you. You were placed into a lab of experimentation, the modification of animal genes into a human. The scientists gave you the abilities of a cat. Naturally, it would of been cool to be a kid with cat powers, but you were injected with multiple shots and horrible tests. You and the other "guinea pigs" were the lab rats of terrible experiments. You didn't even want to remember the tests they gave you. Work and work with little food and water.

And good luck with making friends. You knew some people when you were on the streets, but they saw you as the "rat", not a poor girl who wanted family and love. You've made some friends with the rest of the people caught in the experiments but every time you did, they ended up being taken away for testing...and let's just say you didn't see them for a long time. So you stopped talking to them.

Luckily, a riot erupted among the "guinea pigs" and rebelled against the scientists. The rebellion turned into a break out and everyone was running for their lives to get out. You got out and tried to look for your friends but nobody was looking back for one another. You ended up returning to the streets where you belonged, alone and hungry again.

You couldn't take it anymore. You wanted to experience a family, to gain money, to never be hungry again. You cried and growled in frustration, feeling your "savage cat" powers activate.

A street animal glanced up and hissed at you. Then you attacked it. Your nails slashed into claws and you tore apart the animal, frustrated and peeved.

"Why can't I have a NORMAL LIFE?!" you growled, ripping your claws away at the animal's fur, jagging deep blood red marks. You then soared your razor teeth into the animal's neck and the animal whined in terror. You shook it a bit and flung it, vicious and savage.

You rolled into a ball and cried, waiting to pass out and just lie there.

"Interesting powers you have there," an accented voice said. You got up to see a woman in front of you. She was standing with a group of cyborg mercenaries beside her. She had red hair with a strand of it flowing on the right side of her head. Her eyes glowed blue. She was wearing some sort of black cyborg armor.

You cowered away a bit, frightened and worried.

"Oh, no, don't be afraid," the woman said. "We're here to help you. You must be exhausted and hungry, huh? What's your name?"

 You gulped. "Umm, (y/n)."

 "(Y/n)? Hmm, what's your story?"

"Well, I grew up living around here. I have no family, no friends...these idiotic scientists did tests on me...and now I'm a freak! I was a bit of a freak before but now I'm a bigger..." You started breaking down, crying tears.

"Shh, shh, it's ok," the woman cooed. "You don't have to cry. I'm here. You know, I went through something like you."

 "You...did?"

"Yes, like you, I had parents...well, I don't know if you met yours, but my parents died. I was orphaned, growing up and trying to survive. But then later, I found their murderers...and made them pay."

 You raised an eyebrow. "You....ki..."

"Butchered is the word I use more, dear. It was from then on, my destiny was revealed to me. This is what I must do. It is in my blood. So, I followed it and now here I am. The same can be for you."

You sniffed. "You mean, I can..."

"Let us raise you child, you're meant so much more than to be a poor kid with these...powers, you have. We could train you to use them. Put it to good use. Those scientists may be long gone but you can embrace your powers instead of fearing them."

You gazed at the black iron steel of your claws. "My powers...I can use them for good?"

"Yes, I see your destiny. You are meant to be the fear of all men, the queen of abilities gifted to you. We can unravel your destiny. Desperado will be your family from now on."

 "Desperado?"

"Your new family," the woman said, taking your hand. "We must go now. There is a lot to teach you. I'm Mistral."

"Mistral," you murmured. You then nodded. "Ok. I guess a family is better than no family."

And thus, you began your missions. You were first given small jobs to do to test your skills. Then, each time you succeeded, the job became harder and you were given cybernetic abilities to enhance your skills. Each mission meant a new addition to your cyborg body. And you did them just to get it. You wanted power. You felt that you were power.

Everyone feared you. Not just because of your new cybernetic skills, but the cybernetic abilities combined with your genetic cat-like traits habited from the scientists, made you more deadly. You earned the nicknames of the Cyborg Cheetah, the Sabor Tooth Machine, the Leopard Robot, etc. All names that strike fear in the mercenaries. Names that filled Desperado with pride.

You could of easily pictured Mistral's smiling face when she saw you. "You're becoming more beautiful and venomous," she commented. "Like a jaguar, magnificent to see but terrifying to behold."

"Thank you, Mistral," you said. "If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have known where to go."

In between those times though, you never gave thought to those missions you were doing. Now that you were nearly experienced, you began to wonder what you did was for a good cause. At least Desperado thought so. Then again, if you walked out, you would lose everything you ever had, everything that felt alive to you. So you stayed.

And now you had to deal with this guy, slicing the mercenaries away. You've heard about what he did and such though you never gave any emotion or care to who he was and such. It just never came across your mind.

Besides, you were positioned to protect a lab that needed to be kept under wraps. You were curious about it and inquired its purpose but no one told you anything other than your job. Anything else concerning the lab was "their business". You just do your job.

You were looking on the computer, videoing the cyborg. You stood true to your order of preventing anyone coming into the lab and avoid being caught in action. It's not that Desperado didn't want you to fight or anything. It was just that they felt you needed a break from all the hard work you pulled off. Which was sort of weird considering how this guy was making trouble and you would have no choice but to enter the conflict.

"Cyborg Cheetah, is he heading your way?" you heard a voice say through the computer. "Almost," you said. "He still needs a couple of more steps if he wants to get here."

"Can you block out the entrances so he can't get in?"

"Negative," you said. "We have no blocking entrances, you idiot. Best we can do is send in more Gekkos."

"Are you kidding? This guy's tearing away through them like crazy!"

"What do you want me to do about it then?" you hissed.

"Protect the lab, dumbass." You pressed a button on the keyboard, ending the call of the voice.

"Some of these should annoy him then," you said to yourself as you headed to activate a group of dwarf Gekkos to stop the incoming enemy. You watched the tiny machines run along into the battle.

"Cute but deadly in a bunch," you said. You then entered back into the sewers to warn the rest of the guards. "And make sure he doesn't find out about the secret entrance!" you thundered.

You prepared to go and warn another group when you stopped. You saw a robot-like beast tearing away at the mercenaries. It jumped onto a guard and tore away at its limbs. It then turned its head towards you with a vicious stare.

You gasped. "Wolf...." you murmured. Blade Wolf had once been your "companion" of your trainer, Mistral. She conducted orders for him and made sure he did each job right. Though, indeed, you saw him went through some..."proper" training from her but at the end of the day you were there to give him comfort. Sometimes, you felt it too. There were times even when Mistral went a little too hard on you.

(Yeah, some can say the Blade Wolf is an it or he. I'm just using he for now).

Or was it a clone of the Blade Wolf? You hadn't recall if he ever returned to confirm the success on his last mission. It was possible that he was beaten down and "reconstructed" to follow the enemy's orders. Now though, he would no longer be considered your friend. Not while hanging with the enemy.

The Blade Wolf turned its head at you and growled. It then steadied itself, ready to pounce on you.

You sighed. Even if he remembered you, you had to still do your job. No matter the costs.

Wolf charged full force and pawed away. You sidestepped and hissed like a cat, crawling around as well, into a circle. You two danced around into a circle until Wolf attempted another charge. He was then caught in the middle of your circling around him. His eyes lingered on you, never leaving your sight.

You growled and stopped, charging as well. Wolf dodged and attacked, clawing right away at your skin. You hissed. It was nothing more than a scratch, duh. It was still pain though. A sign of weakness.

You immediately turned around and salshed at Wolf's head. Wolf growled and made another charge. You immediately dove into the shadows, hiding from your prey.

"The shadows cannot hide you," Wolf taunted. Yet, little did he know you had the shadows as your friend.

Wolf titled his head as he tried looking for you. You snickered. Even with the visors on, you had made the darkness blend with you, making it harder for enemies to see you. It was a camouflage technique in a way. Heck, even Mistral made sure that everyone's visors wouldn't be able to detect you. How else would you be like a jaguar in a jungle, hiding deep in the rainforest, waiting to strike at your prey?

Wolf growled and glanced around once more, determined to find you. You readied yourself to pounce, feeling your limb muscles tense in a cat-like position. You then lunged at him. Wolf spring back surprised. You sliced away, ripping your teeth down into the cold metal skin. It tasted gross though, of course since he was in the sewer water. You landed your hand onto Wolf's head, pinning it down. You growled possessively, hoping for a submissive cry from your enemy.

Wolf glanced up and snarled. He then titled his head once more. "(Y/n)?" he asked. You gasped and took your hand off. You felt sudden mixed emotions warped in you.

It was like looking at a friend who committed a crime. Would you support them or turn your back? How could you destroy Wolf like this but then again, it was the survival of the fittest. If he had taken you down, you'd be dead for sure.

You stepped back from him, unsure what to do next. You still had a job to do...

Wolf got up and stared at you again. You sighed. You had to do this. You felt your vocal cords vibrate in your throat. You blasted a metallic, massive roar at him, shutting out his ears. Wolf howled and pawed at his ears, confused and crazed.

You dashed off, hearing Wolf talking to someone. "Careful with her," he said. "She....argh! My system...I don't know what she did...I feel weird...weak...I'd advise to be cautious..."

You then began to run to inform the rest of the mercenaries guarding the lab.

"Be prepared! Enemy sighted not too far away," you commanded. "Be on guard! We're going to give this b**stard a wake up call." "Think you can take him?" one of the mercenaries asked.

"Pff, I admit, he has skill," you taunted. "He may be Lighting Bolt...but he will never know the instincts of the Sabor Tooth Machine hiding in the dark, waiting to strike her prey."

Some of the mercenaries laughed. "Hit the nail on that one," a mercenary said. "Some say he's stealthy....but not as stealthy as you, tiger."

"Grr," you growled, emitting a warning.

"Right, right, don't call you that," the mercenary said uneasily.

You then slunk into the shadows, crawling on all fours, waiting for the prey to prowl in. You felt your cat instincts turn on, scanning the room for his entrance. You could feel adrenaline pump into you. You crouched lowly to the ground like a leopard preparing to pounce on its meal. This was your power. A power that even some of the mercenaries feared. They knew what you could do but demonstrating it before them was a whole other level of fear. It was the fear of the unknown.

You heard the cutting sounds of a door being sliced. The mercenaries eyed the target and then began to attack. You saw again the enemy dash at them, his sword swiping at their bodies. It was literally like looking at a lighting bolt strike at the number of people it chose as its victims (hence the name of course, you thought).

The enemy slashed again at the last enemy and stopped. You uttered a low growl. You sensed it...he knew there was still someone in here.

The enemy looked around, glancing to find you. He put his visors on to find you and found no use when they found no scanning of you. "Where are you?" he demanded, waiting for your presence. You snickered and prowled a bit.

"So, you're the one they say is Mr. Lighting Bolt...I can see why." You playfully flicked your claws at a wall, causing the enemy to shudder and turn to it.

"Trying to play some games on me? Sorry, I don't play hide and seek no more. At least, not like this."

You scratched at the wall again, creating chalk-like sounds of terror. "Oh, Mr. Lighting Bolt, I've heard plenty of stories about you!" you hissed. "I've seen what you can do. Prime demonstration of what you did to my colleagues. Alas, poor them. A quick strike of lighting bolted to end their life."

You crawled down and slithered behind some metal cargo. "But enough about you. I mean, how rude of me not to introduce myself! Wouldn't you want to know a bit of your enemy before you die? At least, get a little conversation here before we tear out each other's throats."

"And for me to find out what possible weak points I can locate?" the enemy snickered. You huffed and pounced up on a high platform. You then jumped into the light and knelt back into your cat position.

"They call me the Cyborg Cheetah, the Sabor Tooth Machine, the Leopard Robot," you purred. "As you can tell by how I look, it's pretty obvious what my powers are, hmm? Except, they're what you call 'natural instincts'".

"Huh, I can already see what you'll look like when you get older," the enemy taunted. You shook your head and gave a sigh.

"Oh, you made me laugh so hard at that!" you snickered. "Why, I want to laugh so much at how bad that joke was." You pounced down to the floor, still crouching low.

"Well, you've just prove that cats can land on all fours," the enemy jeered. "Not to mention, how many times would I have to cut you up? Like 9 times?"

You shook your head and emitted a low growl.

"You made be fast but the shadows won't be your friends here, Raiden," you growled. "It's what makes me terrifying. Darkness is a predatorily cat's friend. We hide in the murkiness to hide and catch our prey. While the prey is unaware and can't see in the dark, we can."

You began to slunk back to the darkness, hiding yourself from Raiden's view. "Oh, and don't think your visor is going to help you locate me. Let's just say my body's succumbed to the point of hiding from everyone's view. Just like when you're walking around in the wilderness, you don't know when the cat is about to strike."

You giggled and watched at how Raiden looked around hastily, ready to strike at your surprised move. To turn the tables, you waited for him to turn his back on you. You steadied yourself into a pounce and then soared out.

Raiden quickly turned around to deflect your attack. You instead dove then right for a dead mercenary's body, spiking your claws right onto the head and chest. You turned to Raiden and smiled. He may have not shown it, but you sensed a bit of fear emitting from his body.

"And just like that, you'll be dead," you hissed. You faced towards him again. Raiden stepped back a bit but held his sword, aimed to slice at you.

You crawled slowly at him, watching his footsteps turn away from you. "Aww, don't be shy," you mewed. "Kitty just wants to play. Least you're not like those cat and mouse people. Oh, such lovely hunts but they were all the same! Mouse runs away. Cat chases mouse. Cat catches mouse, etc. repeat. I'm glad you're at least putting up a fight. Makes the hunt more enjoyable."

"Sorry, I'm more of a dog person myself," Raiden stated. "But I'll play your game. You're more of a mouse hiding in the shadows like that though."

"True, but mice can only hide in the dark a bit before the cat detects it," you purred. "Speaking of dogs, did you like how I played with your puppy?"

Raiden snarled and held tightly onto his sword. "What did you do to him?" he thundered.

"Nothing much, really," you said. "Just a little thing to escape. It's what you call, a little malfunction but he'll be all right. Well, when I use it on you, you probably won't be. I save the best tricks for last so be sure to make this a good fight."

You posed in a readied position to pounce on him. Raiden slowly walked around you, analyzing a way to attack. You laughed.

"Think fast!" you said as you jolted away, circling around him. Raiden still kept in his position, prepared to block your attacks. You snickered and made a false move, pouncing at him only to "miss" and run again. Raiden swirled around to attack you. You again pretended to pounce and took off.

"Enough of this!" Raiden snapped as he began to to bolt off now, hoping to catch you. You slid off into the darkness again. Raiden prepared to block, lifting up his sword.

You waited for his back to face you. Immediately, you dashed off and bounced on his back. You chomped your razor teeth into his shoulder. Raiden growled and attempted to shake you off. "Oh, come on, you're making this way too easy," you teased. You got off but then pounced again. "Sh*t," he muttered. You tore away at his metallic armor, ripping it apart. You eyes crazed as your bloodlust rose with the sight of blood spilling.

Raiden pushed his knee up, blowing a hard knee kick at your stomach. You gasped, feeling a breath of air escape your mouth. He then saw his chance and slashed away, occasionally sliding to swipe you off your feet.

"F*ck! Think!" you growled as your body deteriorated. You prepared to slip into the shadows again but Raiden blocked your way. "Nu-uh," he said. "I think you had enough fun with your friends."

You growled. You felt your body weakened from the blows he took on them. Sure enough, he was also badly damaged enough with some scratches and teeth marks but it was nothing compared to what you had.

You checked your vocal cords. The roar was recharged and ready. "Sorry, Mr. Lighting Boy," you sneered. "We'll have to have this dance again."

You roared out your metallic, harsh roar again. Raiden yelped and felt his muscles tense. He clasped his hands to his ears. You took off and exited off to the rest of the lab. You heard the words of your command not to enter the lab but you had no choice.

You turned your head to see how Raiden muttered about the roar. "Definitely a malfunction," Raiden agreed. "It was like my ears boomed from it and felt paralyzed. Circuits going haywire...everything. Surprised she didn't attack me right there. I must of wounded her badly to take off like that."

You rolled your eyes. "Idiot," you mumbled.

You then stopped and came across a door. You turned your head to see a path leading to another area. You titled your head at the door though.

"They were so secretive when I kept inquiring them about this," you said. "I know it's not my job to know about this but...I mean, with whatever they're protecting is suppose to be kept secret and safe, wouldn't they at least tell me what needs to be saved. From what they summarized though, some research stuff."

Curiosity then killed the cat. Literally.

You entered the codes to the door. The door slid open and your eyes widen at the sight before you.

 "What....the...hell?" you muttered.

Brains. Everywhere. All lined up in containers. Floating in some sort of light blue fluid. Ready for...some sort of experimentation?

Your heart pumped, your blood sizzled and you felt an engulfment of a long memory you had hoped to forget. "No, they must be something else," you smiled uneasily. "Maybe it's some sort of donation thing? Black market? I mean, why else would...."

You began to turn around and crawl shakily. You then heard a scream.

"Help me!" yelped a childlike voice. You ran to the voice and stopped. You shuddered again. "My god..." you gasped.

There before you stood a boy, beaten and bloodied. He coughed and tried to get up but fell down. He looked up to see you staring at him. "Jaguar," he said. "You look like a jaguar..." He coughed again and shook. "Please don't kill me."

You crawled over to the boy. "What happened to you?" you asked.

"They...took me," the boy said. "Kidnapped me, along with others. They did tests on us. Horrible. I tried escaping but they got me...they said I still needed to do more tests."

 "Tests?" you gulped.

"Tests," the boy mumbled. He then glanced up at your eyes. "Are you here to save us?" the boy coughed. "You look different...you look...nice." The boy hawked again and finally closed his eyes. "Please...save us," he wheezed. His body stood motionless.

Thoughts raced in your head as you stood still, trying to recap what happened and process your thoughts. Desperado....they...

"They lied to me," you puffed. "Desperado...they lied to me. Said it was all for a change. For a better future. Lied. To me."

You shook your head. Questions and thoughts raced again once more. "They...how could I be so naïve? So foolish? My family...something for a good cause. A BRIGHTER future. All this stuff I did....so they could do THIS? They told me they would never do this. They would never support this. This would never happen again. What I've been through....they lied. TO MY FACE!"

A memory you had long you swore forgotten had resurfaced into your head:

They had pinned you down onto the hard, metal table. You screamed as your hands clasped with cuffs along with your feet. A needle stabbed into your shoulder. "Shut up!" you heard someone snapped.

You felt a harsh slap plummet against your cheek.

You were then thrown into a room with other kids. "We'll be back for you," they said.

You and the other kids waited for them to leave before you could talk to each other. Until they came in the morning. The "tests" were ready.

You ran, jog, jumped, pounced, clawed, hissed, growled and did as they told you. "Excellent work," they praised. "Once more!" You gasped with lack of breath and energy. Your muscles were tiring and warring out. It was nothing but abusive work.

Until that day came. A kid had gone out of control.

"He's gone savage!" one of them yelled. The kid roared and attacked them. He then began to pounce onto the kids. The kids screamed and ran off. One of them got caught in his attack.

You felt yourself tense, ready to intervene. "Leave him alone!" you shouted. You charged at the savage kid and pounced. You tore away at him, gashing and jagged your claws into his skin.

When you were done, you stumbled back, frighten of your work.

"She's purrfect," someone snickered. "Indeed, she has proven herself useful," another agreed.

You closed your eyes and shook your head, shamed of what you did. "What have I done?" you muttered.

What have I done? What have I done? What have I done? What have I done?

The same questions repeated in your head as the memory played over and over again. What have I done? What have I done? What have I done? What have I done?

Of course, the question should of been what have I done for them? You were so lost in the repetitive thought though that you knew it was your fault. You always questioned their motives and actions, hoping they proved to be useful (which they told you they were) but you shut your mouth because...they were your family. The only ones who understood you. Who "claimed". Nowhere else to go....where else would you go? Back to the streets where everyone bashed you? Back to them where they treated you like an experiment?

 Where? Where?

Then again, now it was time to depart. You were older now and wise. You could always use your abilities to help others...right?

"Lie...lied to me," you stuttered. You shook your head. "Was I that stupid? All this...I did for them.....they told me I wouldn't have to face my past no more. Leave it behind. Toward a better future. They did this for the cause of justice. No experiments. No supporting. No nothing. Just freedom...for everyone."

You sighed. "Mistral...Sam..." you began. You lowered your head. "I thought so much of you....brother...sister....I looked up to you...now I look down."

A slow rage rose inside. "I want the truth. I will find out."

A sudden loud, metallic sound thundered the room and you turned around. There was Raiden, glancing at you. His eyes turned from you to the kid. You could of sworn his eyes turned red for a second. Then realization hit you.

"No, no no no," you shrieked as you began to dash for the door. You hit away at the buttons. ACCESS DENIED!

"Wait, wait, wait, WAIT!" you yelped as you saw him rush toward you. You were in no mood to fight. Not after what you saw.

You glanced around for a clear opening to move pass him but Raiden was hitting the key points of your moves now.

"Please," you mumbled. You crawled up into a corner, watching him speed off to eliminate you. You raised your arms over your head.

"SPARE ME!" you cried. You shivered, waiting for a blow to slash at you. When you felt none, you glanced up to see Raiden hold his sword up. "What did you say?" he demanded.

"Spare me?" you said. The sword poked against your neck. "Why?" Raiden hissed. You quivered but spoke, "Desperado....they lied to me. They told me it was for a change. That they helped me escape my past..." The sword slithered across your neck, but made no wound.

"I think you would of realized that by then after all you've done for them," Raiden growled.

"Please," you pleaded. "I didn't know. They told me I wouldn't see my past. That I wouldn't see that..." You pointed at the boy. "I was raised by Mistral. She...gave me promise of a better future. Said I could look to the future. I could forget all the experiments." You sighed. "She never mentioned about experiments for others though."

The sword's point disappeared from your neck. "I take it you grew up on the wrong side, huh?" Raiden asked. You nodded.

"Maybe you can get redemption still. Do you know where the kids are?" You shook your head until you remembered another ability you had. You crawled over to the boy and sniffed him. "My nose sense can tell me where the others are," you said. Raiden nodded. "Ok. Lead the way."

You and Raiden then battled enemies and dashed away to find the rest of the kids were. You were filed in about the details of Desperado's true purpose and the research facility.

"So, still working for them?" Raiden asked. "Not for a long time," you growled. "They're going to pay with their blood." And they did. You swiped at the mercenaries and left them all dead.

You two finally arrived at a glass window of boys in white clothing. They spotted you and pounded on the glass. Raiden prepared to slash at the glass but a click of a revolver stopped him.

"Don't do it or he dies," a scientist said, holding a gun to a boy's head. "George," Raiden said.

"Surrender now," the scientist uttered. George struggled to get out of the scientist's grip. "Don't worry about me, Raiden," he said. "Go free them." The scientist then turned to you.

"What are you waiting for?" he asked. "Kill him!" You shook your head, unsure what to do. The scientist rolled his eyes. "Fine! I'll figure it out myself!" He turned back to Raiden.

Raiden sighed and dropped his sword. That's when 2 things happened. George hit the scientist in the stomach with his elbow. The scientist gasped and let go of George and the gun. You then charged at the scientist.

The scientist turned around and saw you jump. "I thought you were with them," the scientist said. Your eyes gleamed. "So did I," you muttered.

Raiden immediately covered George's eyes. Let's just say you had your way with him.

"Nobody knows about this location," you said. "It'll be perfect for them to pick him up." You were showing Raiden a perfect helipad spot for his buddies to pick up George.

"Thanks," Raiden said. "I'll be sure to tell them." You smiled and began to crawl away.

 "(Y/n)..." You turned around.

"You know, you don't have to wander alone," Raiden said. "I know you're going to need some time to heal but...if you help me, perhaps you can gain a chance of redeeming yourself. Well, I mean help us."

You sighed. "I...have to think about it. I don't want to get lied to again." You saw him kneel down beside you. "You won't," he promised.

You thought for a bit. You told Raiden about what you have been through and such. That after this, you were going to make Desperado pay. You felt best to do it alone though. Raiden felt different. He encouraged you to join and redeem. But he still worked for someone. You weren't sure you wanted to be committed again.

"I'll consider it," you said. "Besides, it's best for them to think I'm dead, missing or captured. That way, I can my next attack." You smiled. "Thank you for helping redeem myself a bit."

"Umm, no problem," Raiden said. You nodded and began to walk away. "Oh, and thanks for Mistral," you said. Raiden frowned.

"I don't think I could see her again. Not after this," you said. Raiden nodded.

You then continued to walk away. You sighed. You wanted to join and get a new chance of redemption but what if their intentions were also bad? For now, all you could do was just think about it.

You turned your head to watch Raiden. His mouth formed into a smile. His eyes gleamed brilliantly blue. "Until next time, kitty-cat," he said. You laughed at the stupid nickname he gave you.

Until next time, Lighting Boy, you mouthed.

YES I DID IT! YAAAYYYYYY!!!! yay

It took a while for me to do this and as much as I wanted to put more depth into this, I wanted to share this though (not to mention my computer kept shutting down on me) ASAP and now here it is!

Look, I'm so sorry if Raiden is really OOC in here or anything else seems awkward. I really try to stick to the characters' personality and such. So if he is, I'm really sorry! I'll be sure to fix this up then.

Yeah, Raiden needs love along with some other Metal Gear characters. I really don't see any Metal Gear reader inserts. I don't know why there's not any. I mean, yes, the world of Metal Gear is different and such but still, I think some of the characters need some love. Hopefully, I'll be doing some Metal Gear reader inserts soon. For now, I'll just be focusing on Raiden. (And yes, Rising is so AWESOME!)

As for the reader, well, sometimes I like to do things from the other point of view, whether reader to an enemy to the character or unknown. There's nothing wrong with barely just meeting or you're already friends but I like to write other viewpoints and such. I couldn't help but want to write one for reader being an enemy perspective. It just adds a bit of variety.

I'll be also doing another Raiden reader insert soon...and since we're in October, the month of Halloween well...let's just say....JACK IS BACK! Yeah, I'll be doing a somewhat horror/scary reader insert for that one.

As for my other reader inserts, yes, I'll be continuing them but for now, I sort of want to focus on Halloween reader inserts and such. If I get done with them quicker, I'll try to get them out and maybe do some scary stuff in there for Halloween...

Also, I originally saw this as a one-shot, but like I said, if you would like for me to continue this into a series, I wouldn't mind...
