I forgot to add him for "This Isn't You" one-shots of reader encountering their favorite characters turning to the dark side. So here's a little one shot for Benny!

 Star Wars (c) LucasFilm
 You (c) yourself

He had been cringing at what they called him. Feared for what he saw him. He had done his best in training but plenty of them called him what he feared to be: weak. And the rumor going around that he had been the Sith Lord’s grandson just made it worse.

“It’s that Vader kid,” they said. “Look, the dark side’s son.” “Do you think he’s dangerous as he was?” “Nah, please! If that Rebel commander was his son, then he’d teach his nephew a thing or two!”

You saw it in him as he would skewer away from them when the lessons were over, cowering in the dark so they couldn’t see him. You were his only comfort.

“Ben,” you said, one time, seeing him huddle in a corner. “Are you ok?”

He glanced up at you, smiling. “Yeah, I’m fine,” he lied. You knew he liked it when you would come over to check on him. He felt relieved that you would offer your advice to wash away all of what they said about him.

“They don’t know anything,” you said, patting him on the shoulder. “You know, I think they do that on purpose to one another too, you know? They just do it to gain Luke’s attention. Who cares for that though? As long as you’re doing good, you’ll be fine.”

“What if they’re right, though?” he asked. “What if…I’m not ready? What if in the end I’m his grandson…and have to follow what he did?”

You would shake your head and laugh. “Well, whether you are or not,” you giggled. “You’re still Benny to me!”

 “Don’t call me Benny.”

“All right, Benjamin.” He would roll his eyes at this, snickering at the list of names you called him relating to his.

“Your hair is so fluffy!” you would then tease, hoping to get his mind off of the rumor and gossip. You would then rummage your hair through it, seeing all the little curls forming at the ends.

“Stop,” he mumbled, waving your hand away, knowing what you were doing. You’d then laughed as you would then ruffle through it more, making it a mess and quickly dash off.

“Whoops! Look at the time! Gotta dash!” you chuckled.

He would fix up his hair as he stared at you, shaking his head and laughing. Your heart would flutter hearing him laugh, happy to hear that your friend was smiling again.

You then bumped into your friend, unaware of her presence watching you and Ben.

“Hey, (y/n),” she said. “Were you hanging out with Ben again?”

“Yeah,” you said. “Just cheering him up. You know, with all the idiots spreading it around.”

“Yep,” your friend said. “I mean; I don’t believe in them either but…it’s like you said. In the end, we should be there for him. Would it matter more if he turned into a grey Jedi?”

“Better that than dark,” you agreed.

“Yeah,” she said. “And the fact that you haven’t told him yet, huh?”

You rolled your eyes. “Not yet,” you admitted. “It’s just…I can’t. It’s against the whole code and…I don’t want to upset Luke…”

“Well, that was like hundreds of years ago. This is the new Jedi. We can create our own code now. We can still follow it but there’ll be some exceptions of course.”

 “But what if…”

“Ok, so how about this? Once Master Luke passes us, either you’re going to tell him or I will, ok?”
You rolled your eyes at this but then nodded. “Ok, deal. But I’ll tell him!”

“You’d better because if you don’t, I’ll announce it in front of everyone saying that, MY BEST FRIEND, (Y/N) HAS A CRUSH ON…”

You rammed into her as you covered her mouth with your hands, scared that someone or Ben would be nearby to hear.

It was months later that you woke up one day and he was gone. You’d questioned it along with others, wondering where he could disappear off to. Luke thought about this as well but mentioned that perhaps he needed some time to think. Being a Jedi wasn’t the easiest thing for everyone after all.

You suspected, of course, the rumors and gossip had gotten to him, sending him away to think for himself and you would glare at those who started it.

One day, at nightfall, as Luke went to get some resources from town, you were chatting with your friend when you saw one of your classmates charge through the room and fall down. He was all wet and huffing, a few injuries on his body. Your friend raced to his side, examining his wounds.

 “What happened?” she asked.

“They’re coming!” he gasped. “They’re coming to kill us! They got Ben! They got him!”

Your eyes widen upon hearing the name. "Ben?" you whimpered.

Your friend shook her head, not wanting to believe it as well.

You and her then bolted over to the window to see what was going on. Before the pane, was a group of men in black armor, holding weapons of variety, walking around the temple. Some of the students were running away and others were fighting back. However, they were all pushed aside.

“We’d better get going!” your friend said. “Let’s head over to town! Master Luke has to know about this!” You followed her out of the room. You raced down the steps with her, running over to get outside, which was a composition of rain and darkness.

“Do you think he was right?” you asked, worried. “That they…got Ben?”

“I don’t know,” your friend said. “But we have to find Luke!”

You finally almost got there to outside, passing through the garden, when your friend slipped through a pile of mud. You turned around to help her but fear froze your limbs as you glimpsed up to see one of the men from outside walking to both of you.

“Don’t touch her!” one of the students roared. He bolted at the man and the man turned around, knocking the student out.

“Who are you people?” your friend hollered.

“A Knight of Ren,” the man said proudly. “Kylo Ren has asked kindly for your destruction.”

 “Kylo?” you inquired. “Your leader?”

The Knight of Ren though, then rushed his weapon at your friend. Your friend dueled out her lightsaber and began to attack him.

“Run, (y/n)!” she yelped. “Find him!”

Your mind went into a frenzy as you saw her fight with the Knight. You then bolted away again, heading outside. You caught yourself a couple of times from slipping, the mud piling up as the rain poured heavily on. You wondered even if an event like this were to happen, out of all places, why did Luke have to choose a desert?

Fate had a different mind though as you tripped on a rock, falling down to the ground, mud glopping all around on your robes.

You prepared to get up when you saw the group of men you saw from outside huddle around you. You recognized them as the Knights of Ren, considering the one your friend was battling was with them.

You shed a tear, sensing what her fate was. You held up your lightsaber(s), slowly getting ready to clash with them. You yelped as your hand(s) froze, your lightsaber(s) flying out of it/them. One of them went to a Knight and another went to what appeared to be their leader, dressed all in black robes and wearing a mask. He wielded out his lightsaber, the crossguard glowing brightly.

You whimpered as you curled up into a ball, signaling defeat. You hoped that Luke was nearby and if he wasn’t, that they make this quick.

You heard footsteps approaching you and your face lifted up to see the mask of the leader.
You winced. “Are you…Kylo Ren?” you gulped.

The leader didn’t say anything as he gazed around at your frightened expression. He then rose up.
“Keep her,” he commanded.

You frowned at this, shaking your head. Why would he want to keep you? Was it to be some sort of bait for a rescue mission? Still, you knew they'd probably kill you either way.

It didn't stop the sleepy feeling as you felt the world collapse. You shut your eyes and fell down to the mud.

You woke up to see a room. You shuffled around and sat up in some sort of bed. Your eyes glanced up to see a dimly lit light flickering around the room.

Your eyes then settled on a figure before you, sitting on a chair, watching you inquisitively. You cowered back on the bed, feeling the cold, metal wall cool your back. You analyzed it before you, examining who this person was.

He was wearing robes like you, different in appearance though with a belt holding the clothing together with rugged arm sleeves. His mask was menacing, with silver lines jutted on the top and on the bottom of the mouth plate, the black metal covering it. The visor where his eyes were was terrifying a bit, a thin line of darkness staring at you. Covering the top of his mask was a scarf cape, also wrapped around his neck.

Even if his appearance wasn't intimating, something about him made you felt frightened, an aura of agony and hatred swirling around the room.

 You gulped, unsure to speak.

"Don't be afraid," the man said. "I'm not going to kill you. Provided that you join me."

You raised your eyebrow. "Join you?" you asked. "I don't understand."

The man titled his head. "Your name is (y/n), is it not?"

You nodded. "How do you know my name?"

"Let's just say an old friend of yours told me," the man said.

You gasped, recognizing that he probably meant Ben. "Did you kill him?" you muttered. "Did you...kill Ben?"

"Yes," the man said. "And no...I changed him. That's all I did. He still lives...in a different form."

You shook your head. "What did you do to him?" you hissed. "Did you do some sort of stupid join us or we'll kill everything you love? Who are you? Am I going to be some bait as well?"

The man stood silent before speaking again. "You should be pleased that I kept you alive. If any of my men had spotted you, they'd take no chance in killing you...or perhaps kidnap depending on how worthy you are."

You bit your lip. "So...you're Kylo Ren, I assume?" you said. "Are you the one who lead these....Knights of Ren?"

"They answer only to me," Kylo growled. "And yes, they did an excellent job in destroying that pathetic temple you younglings were in. Now, provided that you accept my offer, you can train here under my guidance, in the dark side. You'll be stronger than you were before."

You laughed. "Is that what you told Ben?" you mumbled. "You easily changed him because you saw how weak he was! You played with his emotions and made him believe he wasn't worthy enough! He was though! To me. I didn't care what others thought of him, even my master. He was a good friend and Padawan! I cared for him and believed that he would pass, no matter what!"

"He was a simple, stupid, little, weakling," Kylo taunted. "You all lied to him about how strong he would become. So now I have him under my guidance, to train him to become better than he was. To which you can too, if you join."

"Forget it," you snapped. "How do I know you're not lying to me that you killed him? I bet you're lying to me too that you'll let me live under your so-called guidance. You already killed all of my friends I bet."

"That I have," Kylo admitted. "However, from what Ben has told me, you hold an attraction to him. And I can see why he held one for you."

Your cheeks flushed over his knowing of your crush on Ben. "Yeah, and so?" you murmured. "What? You're going to make me your queen or something?"

He got up from his chair and marched over to you. You winced and backed up a bit, feeling the wall again push up on your back.

He laid a hand across your cheek, watching it bloom to crimson. It then caressed over to your hair, ruffling it around. You closed your eyes as he did this, feeling him examine you all around. His glare was horrifying but his touch was soft. His gloved fingers smoothed over from your hair to the cheek, curling all the way down to your neck. You whimpered a bit upon his fingers on there, fearing for a Force choke or grasp but it then lingered away.

"You're an ideal queen," Kylo snickered. "Perhaps an arrangement can be made. If you train as my apprentice and become my love, then I might let Ben come back. Though be warned, he might change."

"Change?" you buffed. "I don't understand. Did you kill him or not?"

Kylo sighed. "Would you like to see where he is?" he asked.

You nodded. "Please," you begged. "Look...don't hurt him, ok? I'll be yours if...you promise not to hurt him, deal?" You felt tears pour down your cheeks. You knew this was a bad deal but you wanted Ben to be ok. You had feared that he would turn to the dark side from what all your peers said to him. Yet, you didn't want it to be like this.

Kylo's mask creaked as he laid his hands on it. You watched the mouth plate lift up and the hands pull it off his head.

You gasped at the sight of the man he was.

 “Ben?” you whimpered, almost sorrowful.

The Knight didn’t say anything as he tightly gripped onto the mask for a bit. He then dropped it down to the floor, staring at you with his own eyes.

“The man you knew as Ben Solo is gone,” he said. “I changed him into what I am now…Kylo Ren. He was indeed killed by me but reincarnated as something stronger than he was before. And perhaps you can too…you have potential in becoming better than you were. And I still do feel some of him in me…maybe if you accept my offer, I might let him come out for a while.”

You shook your head. “No,” you muttered. “Ben…what happened to you? You’re not…really Vader’s grandson? Are you?”

Kylo huffed. “I am the proper heir to the Empire’s next successor,” he hissed. “I am only doing as what destiny has planned for me. If he had been here, I’m sure he would have been proud.”

"Yeah, sure, he would,” you rolled your eyes. “And you’d make all your fellow classmates jubilant too, you know.”

Kylo glared at you. “This is your last chance,” he growled. “I can let you have your freedom with me provided you be by my side. Ben can be saved as well…if you would just…”

“Forget it,” you snapped. “How can I fall in love with a monster like you who destroyed the man I loved?”

You yelped as Kylo’s hand gripped together, fumbling with your mind. You grind your teeth as his fingers pulled out memories of you comforting Ben, seeing the moments which you spied on him as he stood quiet, away from the others. The times you knew were the right moment to tell him how you felt but pushed them aside because you were afraid what he would say…that he would deny your love as whether he didn’t feel the same or the Jedi code or anything…

Your face then implanted up to close to Kylo’s. His hand grasped onto your chin, pulling you closer.

"It’s a shame you didn’t tell him,” he said. “A great shame. But…who’s to say my love won’t be better than his? I could give you anything you wanted compared to what he could. Indeed, once I have the whole galaxy in my clutch, the worlds will literally be yours…anything you want, you can have…”

He closed his eyes, as if concentrating. “Indeed, how could I become the ruler of these worlds, being a righteous king without a queen by my side? It would be lonely and boring…I do desire someone I could share my prosperities with…my dreams and hopes…my love…someone I could cherish with gifts and treasures, if return she give me her support and…”

You immediately slapped him across the face, breaking away from his grip. “I’m not going to be your love!” you howled, tears streaming. “I want Ben back! Give him back! I know you’re still in there!”

You then felt a wave of Force slam into your mind, bending your nerves. Your body tumbled down, your limbs locked together, preventing any movement.

You heard a lightsaber slashed out and your head titled up to see Kylo gripping onto a lightsaber with a glowing crossguard. You jutted your head back onto the floor, frightened to see your former love destroy you.

However, the lightsaber whisked away and you were being pulled up by Kylo, wearing his mask again.

“Fine then, if you want to be like that,” he hissed. “I won’t kill you. I’ll change you like I did to him. Then, will you finally understand this is the only way you’ll ever see him again. I will have you as my mate one way or another. You’re the perfect specimen I’ve been eyeing ever since I saw you in his memories. And not only have I made it my goal to kill Skywalker but once the galaxy is mine as well, I’ll definitely have you as my queen and love.”

“Make me,” you growled. “And I’ll do everything I can to bring Ben back.”

He snickered. “I’d like to see you try that,” he retorted.

He threw you to a Knight, who glowered down at you. “Take her to the chair,” Kylo ordered. “We’ll give her a little show on what happens to those who deny their fate.”

“Right away, sir,” the Knight bowed. He took you over to what looked like a chair with straps.

You gulped as you were thrown to it. You were still streaming tears as you fought to recognize that this wasn’t the man you loved.
Forgot to add him for "This Isn't You" short stories. For some odd reason, I feel like continuing this...to a sort of force scene where he...ya know...

I don't know why I want to do that. I swear, guys, I'm not into that stuff or anything. It's just...I guess we all have different writing tastes. I also sort of didn't like what I wrote for the original for Pain and Torture and guess just want to fix it up...I don't know...what do you think? It'll be on Ao3 though...

Otherwise than that though, I like this.

Such a nice story flow and dynamic. It was fun to read.
